The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a luxurious long-range postwar airliner with four-piston engines. It was a civilian version of the C-97 Stratofreighter.

On April 14, 2008, Northwest announced it will be merging with Delta Air Lines, subject to regulatory review. If approved, the new airline will become the largest airline in the world.
